Eligibility :
Two Year Post Graduate Program in BM and HRM
Candidate must have Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) under 10+2+3 system from any stream from a recognized University
or Deemed University. Candidates who are appearing for their final examinations may also apply.
One Year General Management Program
Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree of minimum three years duration from a recognized university in any discipline.
Candidate must have at least five years of relevant managerial experience as on March 31st, 2012.
Four Year Fellow Program in Management
Candidate must have Master’s degree or its equivalent in any discipline or
CA / ICWA / CS with atleast 55% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates) or
BE / BTech degree or its equivalent with at least 60% marks (50% for SC / ST candidates) obtained after a minimum of 10 +2
+3 years of education. Candidate must have two years of relevant work experience.

Exam Pattern :

The XAT exam contains 3 parts -Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Ability/Data Interpretation/Reasoning,
General Awareness.
There are total 200 questions included in the XAT exam which includes an essay of 250-300 words. The duration of exam is
120 minutes. Time provided for the essay is 20 minutes. There is negative marking for wrong answers of 0.25.

Subjects:

XAT require the candidate must be a graduate from a recognized institute. The minimum aggregate requirement in terms
of graduation score for XAT is 50% for general category and 45% for OBC/ST/SC/Physically Handicapped candidates.

Syllabus:

Verbal Ability/Reading Comprehension section contains questions on Analogies, Antonyms (with a passage given),
Fill-in-the-blanks, Logical Ability Puzzles Reading Comprehension Paragraph Forming, Synonyms. Quantitative Ability/Data
Interpretation/Reasoning section contains questions on sets of Data Interpretation Sets of Quant Questions Data sufficiency
Quant Individual Questions, Functions, Permutations & Combinations, Reasoning (Weights of boxes), Series, Simple
Arithmetic Questions. General Awareness section contains questions on Geography, History, Management, Political Science,
Quotes, Science.


How To Apply:

Candidates can apply online through website www.xlri.com. Candidates can get application forms from preferred branches
of SBI bank and XAT office at XLRI, Jamshedpur. Candidates can register online for XAT from September 20, 2011 till
November 30, 2011. Candidates have to apply separately to institutes of their choice.
Completed application form and a demand draft of Rs.950 payable at Jamshedpur should be sent through courier/
registered post/speed post to XAT Office, XLRI, Circuit House Area (East), Jamshedpur-831001.
