Anna discharged from Gurgaon Hospital
Veteran social activist Anna Hazare was discharged from Gurgaon's Medanta Medicity Hospital later in the evening on Wednesday after undergoing treatment for four days.
According to sources, Hazare, who was admitted to the hospital on August 28, will be heading directly to his hometown Ralegaon Siddhin Maharashtra.
India's top cardiologist Dr. Naresh Trehan, who was monitoring Hazare's health condition along with at his medical team, earlier in the day said the veteran social activist is recovering well and has begun to consume soft solid food.
He said that Hazare's vital organs like the kidneys are doing reasonably well, as there were worries due to symptoms of starvation.
Dr. Trehan said Hazare's weight stands at 67 kilograms,with blood pressure of 140/90 and pulse rate of 80.
After securing Parliament's nod on key elements of Jan Lokpal bill, Hazare broke his over 288 hour-long fast on Sunday declaring that electoral reforms will be next on his agenda.
