7 accused in Malegaon Blast case freed
Seven accused in 2006 Malegaon blast case have been granted bail on Saturday. After five years of their arrest in the 7/11 case, Salman Farsi, Shabir Ahmed, Noorulhuda Doha, Rais Ahmed, Mohammed Zahid and Faroogue Ansari were released from Arthur Road Jail by a trial court.Another accused Abrar Ahmed was set free from Byculla prison.
However, Mohd Ali and Asif Khan who also accused in the Malegaon case, will still be in jail as they are also accused in the 2006 Mumbai train bombings. The National Investigation Agency (NIA) informed a special Mumbai MCOCA court hearing the 2006 Malegaon bomb blast case that it would not oppose the bail plea of the nine accused facing the charges.
