Gagan Narang strikes gold at National Shooting Championship


At Shiv Chhatrapati sports complex Gagan Narang topped the podium in the men’s 50m 3 position rifle final in the 55th National Shooting Championship.
On 22 Nov in Balewadi he finally got hold of the yellow metal after winning two silver medals. He gained a comfortable lead in the qualification round itself, as he scored 1,174 points (prone 398, standing 384 and kneeling 392) and In the final, Gagan scored 98.0.
Sanjeev Rajput, became second who scored 1,156 (394, 374, 388), while Imran Hasan Khan was third as he scored 1,154 in the qualification (393, 385, 376). In the final Sanjeev and Imran shot 101.1 and 97.1.
