U.S. Restores full diplomatic ties with Myanmar after Rapid Reforms
The United States is restoring full diplomatic relations with the pariah nation of Myanmar after Rapid Reforms. Secretary of state Hillary Clinton said the United States will exchange ambassadors with Myanmar for the first time in two decades followed the release of hundreds of political prisoners.
This descision will be in response to its freeing political prisoners and other reforms. It is a reward to democratic reforms by a government the U.S. previously treated as a pariah.
