63rd Indian Republic Day: Security tightened for the day


On 26 January India celebrates its 63rd Republic Day with a military parade in the capital, Delhi. This year Yingluck Shinawatra, the first woman Prime Minister of Thailand will be the chief guest at the 63rd Republic Day parade.

This year's parade will highlight the nation's achievements in various fields, the military prowess, scintillating display of air power as also country's rich and diverse cultural heritage. The ceremonial parade is about to begin amidst tight security.
