2G scam:Court delivers verdict in Chidambaram's favour
New Delhi: In a huge political reprieve for the Home Minister P Chidambaram and the UPA government, a special CBI court on Saturday dismissed a petitioner's plea to make Home Minister P Chidambaram an accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case.
Special CBI Judge OP Saini pronounced the judgement on camera in the presence of the petitioner, his wife, his private secretary and one more council.
Reading out from the much-awaited judgement, Justice said, "Your prayer to make Chidambaram an accused is dismissed."
The court said it will commence the hearing on the complaint filed by the petitioner, in which he had made further allegations against former Telecom Minister A Raja, from March 17.
