UP Poll officer stops Robert Vadra, Transfer stopped
A controversy broke out on Monday evening over the transfer of poll official, an IAS officer, who stopped a motorcycle rally of congress campaigner and Priyanka Gandhi's husband Robert Vadra on the charge of violating the model code of conduct in Amethi district in Utter Pardesh has been transferred to Goa.
Robert Vadra was stopped while he was heading for the Salon area for using more vehicles than the permitted number of 10, District Magistrate JP Gupta said. Sen had also ordered the processing of an FIR against the local Congress candidate.
The Election Commission (EC) on Tuesday issued a notice stating that Mr Sen's transfer order was a routine and the matter had no relation with Vadra and his convoy.
