5.2 magnitude earth quake in Kashmir
A moderate intensity earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale hit Kashmir valley on 31 March 2012. The quake felt at 9.46am. According to the Kashmir disaster management head Aamir Ali the tremblor's epicentre was in Hindukush mountains in Afghanistan.
There were no immediate reports of any casualty or damage. People rushed out of their homes in panic. This is the second tremor to shake the valley this month. On 12 March, a moderate intensity quake was experienced in Kashmir Valley.
