Bomb blast at Lahore railway station 2 killed, over 60 injured
The blast took place on Platform 2 outside the Pak Business Express lounge after 6:30pm. The lounge was severely damaged as a result of the blast. The blast occurred outside the business train's counter at platform No-2 where people queue up in large numbers to buy tickets. Atleast two people were killed and over 60 were injured in a blast at Lahore railway station on 24 April.
The bodies and all of the injured were shifted to different hospitals in the city after the blast. Two of the dead were identified as a police constable and a porter. Senior police officer Ali Ahmad Malik said the bomb was left in a bag and the dead were a porter and a policeman. He added the Business Express train had left the station and was not the target.
