FDA seized 1,000 litre adulterated milk
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) along with the Mumbai police seized 1,000 litre adulterated milk in Khar and Kandivli on 02 June. Eleven people were arrested. The raids were carried out in Kandivli, Khar, Dharavi and Indira Nagar in Mulund.
According to FDA officials, they buy branded milk packets from the market and then remove milk from the packets by piercing it in a corner. They remove up to 250 ml milk and fill the packet with water before sealing it again with wax. Milk samples have been sent to the laboratory for testing.
