Heavy Rain in Southern Russia, 87 killed in flash floods
In Russia's southern Krasnodar region an extraordinary rainstorm set off floods that killed at least 87 people and affected nearly 13,000 in the area. The district of Krymsk is the area worst hit by the disaster. The storm poured about 11 inches of rain on Russia's Black Sea coast.
The offficials have already discovered 76 bodies including that of a 10 year old child and they feared the death toll could rise. According to rescue officials, the storm is the one of russia's worst weather-related disasters in decades. The U.S.A. government has offered Russia assistance in eliminating the consequences of devastating floods.
