Bolt seals legendary status with unique double in London Olympics
On 9 August Usain Bolt made history after he become the first man ever to win the Olympic sprint double twice. Bolt, crossed the 200m line in 19.32sec in front of a delirious sell-out 80,000 crowd at the Olympic Stadium.
The 25 year old Bolt matched Michael Johnson’s world record time from the Atlanta Games of 19.32 seconds. Bolt led a Jamaican clean sweep of the podium, with his training partner Yohan Blake taking silver in 19.44 sec and Warren Weir claiming a bronze with a timing of 19.84 sec. Earlier Bolt retained his 100 m title on Saturday at London Olympics which is his fourth global championship since 2008.
