Opposition parties appear to be in favour of 'Right to Recall'
Opposition parties on Monday appeared to be on the same wavelength as veteran social activist Anna Hazare on the issue of the 'Right to Recall' a Member of Parliament if he or she was not meeting the expectations of the people, who had elected them.
Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Rajnath Singh said his party would always support it if it brings about systematic change.
Communist Party of India (Marxist) leader Sitaram Yechury said his party has also favoured the 'Right to Recall' for the last 40 years.
Hazare, who broke his over 288-hour long fast for a strong and effective Lokpal Bill on Sunday, said his fight would now be for 'Right to Recall' and 'Right to Reject' as part of electoral reforms so that corruption can be reduced.
