Assam JAT 2012 - Assam Joint Admission Test 2012

Overview

Assam Joint Admission Test 2012 is conducted by the Director of Technical Education, Assam. is conducted for admitting students to various undergraduate programs in the fields of engineering, medical, dental and ayurvedic colleges as well as in the NIT, Guwahati quota. Every year the time and venue of the entrance is notified by the Director of Technical Education in Assam Gazette and other newspapers as well.

Eligibility:

Pass the qualifying Examination securing at least 50% (45% in case of SC and 40% in case of ST) marks in the aggregate of the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in the same sitting.
Sr.Sec. Examination (12 years) from Assam Sr. Sec. Education Council or an equivalent examination with PCM, and English  securing at least 50% marks in aggregate in PCM in one sitting are eligible.
 

Be an Indian Citizen and a permanent resident of Assam. Other states students are not allowed to take admissions

Mathematics : 100 Marks 
Physics          : 100 Marks 
Chemistry      : 100 Marks
Biology           : 100 Marks
The exam lasts for three hours.

How to Apply:

It can be obtained on payment of application fee of Rs. 600 (Rs. 300 for SC/ST candidates) in the desingned branches of Canara Bank in the country. The application material can also be obtained by Post from
JAM Office,
IIT Delhi, Hauz khas,
New Delhi - 110016
by sending a request along with a self - addressed slip and a crossed Demand Draft of Rs.650 (Rs. 350 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in favour of Chairman JAM, IIT Delhi payable at New Delhi, which must reach, JAM Office, IIT Delhi.
