MGIMS PMT 2012 - Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Science MBBS Entrance Exam

Overview

The Mahatma Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences, Sevagram, commonly known as MGIMS is run by the Kasturba Health Society. The MGIMS is affiliated to the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences, Nasik. MGIMS conducts an entrance exam for admissions into MBBS course for the academic year 2012-2013. This entrance exam will be held at Nagpur, Delhi, Hyderabad Mumbai, Varanasi and Kolkata.

Eligibility:

Candidate must have passed 12th standard exam under 10+2 system of Maharashtra State Higher Secondary Education Board or any equivalent examination of any recognised Board with at least 50% marks for General (40% marks for SC/ ST/ VJ/ NT/ OBC) in subjects English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.
 

Age:
Candidate must have attained 17 years of age on or before 31 December of the year of admission. There is no maximum age limit for MBBS.

 

Exam Pattern:

The exam will contain objective type multiple choice questions in subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Questions on Gandhian thought will be of long and short answer type.

How to Apply:

Candidates can obtain application forms from the office of the Dean on cash payment of Rs. 1000 at the cash counter of Dean’s Office. Application form can be had by post by remitting Rs 1100 (Rs.1000 application fee + Rs.100 postal charges) at any branch of State Bank of India by Challan. Applicants can download challan from the official website www.mgims.ac.in.
